John Gogaberishvili

Jhon Gogaberishvili is a professional sculptor who lives in Tbilisi, Georgia.
After his preliminary art studies in Vani, Gogaberishvili entered Tbilisi State Academy of Fine Arts on the faculty of Sculpture in 1970. He has completed post-graduate studies at Georgian sculptors’ studios from 1980 to 1983.
Shortly after graduating, Gogaberishvili begun regularly exhibiting and participating in the International Sculpture Symposia in Finland, South Korea, Australia, USA, France, Spain, the Canaries, Germany, Slovakia, Armenia, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Cyprus and Uzbegistan.
His sculptures are currently in many private collections Internationally as well as state galleries and museums of Tbilisi, Batumi, Warsaw, Moscow and at a National library in Almazan, Spain. Gogaberishvili has been personally invited several times for collaborative projects at Mosan Art Museum in South Korea.
Jhon Gogaberishvili is a member of artist council in Georgia, where he has also been a chair for public sculpture for three years. He was also a member of jury of the Ministry of Culture and a professor at Tbilisi State Academy of Fine Arts in a sculpture department. Jhon Gogaberishvili’s biography is also included in the Georgian book “Who is Who” of well-known people.
